We thought it was done...

Scott Cawthon, developer of the ludicrously popular horror game/Let's Play fodder Five Nights at Freddy's has updated his website yet again, so that can only mean one thing: a new game. Specifically, a new Five Nights at Freddy's game. However this one is apparently taking a different turn. The teaser on the website advertises a Sister Location, no doubt implying that the new game will take place at a sister chain to the original's Fazbear Pizzeria. Underneath it says "There was never just one", which is either a mysterious implication or just poking fun at all the people who thought Five Nights at Freddy's was finally finished.

As per usual, half the credit for this information goes to the fans. Apparently, Cawthon had been slowly revealing more of the image at the rate of 1 letter per two weeks. Fans of the game speculated that it likely wouldn't have been fully revealed until later in the year given the pace the reveal was going at. However one particularly dedicated fan opened up the image on Notepad++, finding the words "There was never just one". Obviously, fans took this to mean that a new game related to Five Nights at Freddy's was in production, forcing Scott to go ahead and reveal the entire image.

The new game may be a reaction to Cawthon's last Five Nights at Freddy's related game, FNAF World, which was considered a flop by most. However Cawthon received some praise for how he dealt with the criticism, when he refunded all players their money for the hastily made game, and then rereleased an improved version on GameJolt for free. Currently there are no other details revealed about the title aside from the terrifying clownish creature in the background (likely one of the characters) and the fact that it will exist. Which means it will probably get a release date sometime next week for July, after which it will mysteriously appear on Steam on a Thursday at the end of May.

Quick Take

I may act hysterical, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I fully intend to buy and play this game regardless of this content. It's an addiction, but I don't have a problem. I swear.
