Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted Release Date Announced

The Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted VR spin-off was first announced earlier this year at the Sony State of Play. Now it's been confirmed that the game will release on May 21, less than a week from now.

The peculiar VR title was first shown with a brief teaser trailer, and after the trailer some information was released about the game. It won't be a single game, but rather an anthology of multiple levels from all entries in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. This will also include the spin-off title Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. The game will also have some unique new levels developed exclusively for the VR title.

The developers describe it as "a collection of classic and original mini-games set in the Five Nights universe." This will be the first entry in the horror animatronics series on VR, and it seems to celebrate the whole series rather than spin a new tale of horror and despair. It will feature minigames both old and new, you'll be sitting scared in your security guard office, but also repairing the animatronics, crawling through vents and exploring the horrible world of Five Nights at Freddy’s. You'll also have some collectibles to pick up if you're into this sort of thing. The scenes from past entries in the series have been updated and remade to fit the new style on VR.

So next Tuesday, on May 21, you'll need either PS VR, HTC Vive or Oculus Rift headsets to try out the new entry in the series. If you're using the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, you'll also need a VR-Ready PC to run the game.
