Microsoft has announced the first wave of games that will be heading to Xbox Game Pass this September. Over the next few weeks, there will be some fun games to try out.

The first round comes on September 5th, when Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get three games. First up is Dead Cells, the 2d roguelite that has been making waves among indie games thanks to its popularity. We have an overwhelmingly positive review that you can read right here. The other two choices are Metal Gear Solid 2 HD and Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, giving a pair of famous classic stealth games to anyone who hasn't had a chance to play them yet.

The next game comes only a day later on September 6th with Creature in the Well, a mash-up between action games and the classic Breakout. In addition to this, subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to download Gears 5 on September 6th. If you just have the normal subscription then you'll have to wait until the 10th.

Finally, you get two more games on September 12th. The first is indie top-down roguelite Enter the Gungeon, which sees you shooting bullets at bullets for more bullets. The other game that unlocks that day is Gonner - Blüeberry Edition, which is an intense fast-paced 2D platformer that serves as an updated version to the 2016 original.

In addition to this, Microsoft said the following games will be joining the PC Game Pass:

  • Bad North: Jotuun Edition
  • Creature in the Well
  • Dead Cells
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Gears 5
  • Gonner - Blüeberry Edition
  • Shadow Warrior 2
However, with the exception of a September 10th date for Gears 5, none of these games have dates for when they'll be released.
