Much like many other games now, the Lego games also get DLC to expand the game. Both Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and Lego Marvel's Avengers had new levels added through DLC. Now Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens has released its first extra level, titled Poe's Quest for Survival, that expands on a plot point from the story.

If you've seen the movie then you know that Resistance pilot Poe Dameron goes missing after him and Finn crash on the planet of Jakku, only to later turn up again without any explanation. Ever wanted that explanation? Well, now you can get it. Poe's Quest for Survival details what happened to Poe between the crash on Jakku and his reappearance during the Battle of Takodana. Along the way, he'll be teaming up with an alien named Naka Lit and the two will save a village under assault by a band of raiders while finding Poe a ship so he can escape. While the main draw is the level itself, you'll also get five new playable characters and a new playable vehicle from the pack.

While Poe's Quest for Survival is the first level pack added to Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there are two more planned. One is titled Escape from Starkiller Base and appears to detail how Kylo Ren and General Hux escaped from the exploding Starkiller, while the other is First Order Siege of Takodana which lets you see the Battle of Takodana from the First Order's point of view. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 owners also got a free level titled The Phantom Limb that detailed how C-3P0 got his red arm, exclusively for those consoles. There have also been various character packs added to the game, including packs based on both Star Wars TV series and packs based on the other movies.

Poe's Quest for Survival can be purchased individually for $2.99, or in the Season Pass for $10.
