Continuing its streak of putting their Final Fantasy main titles on Steam, Square Enix has released Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster today on Valve’s service.

Instead of selling each game separately, Square Enix has elected to keep them both as one single set like each other version. Originally a Sony exclusive title, both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 were released on the Playstation 2 back in 2001 and 2003 respectively.

From the press release page, “FINAL FANTASY X tells the story of a star blitzball player, Tidus, who journeys with a young and beautiful summoner named Yuna on her quest to save the world of Spira from an endless cycle of destruction wrought by the colossal menace Sin.

FINAL FANTASY X-2 returns to the world of Spira two years after the beginning of the Eternal Calm. Having been shown a mysterious but familiar image in a sphere, Yuna becomes a Sphere Hunter and along with her companions Rikku and Paine, embarks on a quest around the world to find the answers to the mystery within.”

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster comes with a host of improvements, such as 4K resolution support and Steam trading cards. In addition, there are a host of game boosters that are commonplace in the recent Steam releases of other Final Fantasy titles. Such boosters include maxed-out gil, no encounters, 2x and 4x game speed, auto-save and more, and are included for both titles.

Additionally, like the previous HD releases of these two titles, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will contain all the International version content of the two games, all of which was previously unavailable to North American players until these HD remasters were released.

From now until May 19th, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is 20% off on the Steam store at $23.99. After this promotional period, it will return to its normal price of $29.99.
