June is shaping up to be a month full of interesting updates by Square Enix. In addition to the recently revealed trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, several new updates have been revealed for Final Fantasy XV in June by Game Design Section Manager Kenichi Shida.

Following on the heels of Episode Gladiolus, the second DLC episode to be released, Episode Prompto, has a vague release date of the end of June. Additionally, the theme for the episode will be composed by Mizuta Naoshi, who is best known for composing the music for Final Fantasy XI. Additionally, he has worked as a composer for XIV, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns, and was formerly a composer for Capcom. More information about Episode Prompto is slated to be released at E3 this week.

Additional free content is also scheduled to be released with the update, including the “Cup Noodle” headgear for Noctis. The Regalia will also be getting an update called Regalia Type-D, for off-roading. It has not been announced yet whether Prompto's trademark photography will get any kinds of updates or expansions in the DLC pack, but it remains a definite possibility.

Another possibility is that the PS4 DLC of the game will include the previously announced VR experience for XV. First talked about by director Hajime Tabata in 2016, the content is planned to be a free update to the game to give fans a little something extra and will be compatible with the PlayStation VR headset. In the VR experience, the player will control Prompto, making it more likely to be included in his DLC pack than any of the others.

What are you looking forward to the most about the Prompto DLC pack? Cup noodles and Regalia hats or just returning to the world of Eos? Excited to hear the new music? Let us know in the comments below!
