A new update is coming to Final Fantasy XV on April 27th. Square Enix will be releasing the free update later this month to bring a new PlayStation 4 Pro mode as well as a Timed Quest ranking feature and some additional content. Read on to learn about what the update will bring to the game.

Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has been steadily rolling out updates for the latest installment of their popular role-playing franchise since its launch in November of 2016. These free updates have brought new content, special events, and fixes for issues within the game. At the end of April, another such update will be bringing some more minor content to the game as well as some bigger additions.

On the list of minor content being added to Final Fantasy XV is more songs available for the music player. Soundtracks from previous Final Fantasy games as well as some tracks from NeiR: Automata are already in the game to purchase and listen to but what new music will be added has not been revealed. If you’re tired of the same old tunes while cruising in the Regalia or riding on a chocobo then hopefully these fresh tracks will be a welcome addition to your traveling experience.

Another small addition to the game later this month are new car stickers for the Regalia. Customize your ride even further with some fun auto decals that will show off your personal style. This update will also be bringing some helpful visual changes to subtitles and other menu screen text by making the font larger and more easily readable.

Onto the more exciting changes coming with this April update, a new PlayStation 4 Pro mode called “Stable Mode” is being implemented. With this mode, PS4 Pro users will be able to stabilize the game’s frame rate while playing. When the update is live this will be found in the resolution options.

Last but not least is the new ranked Timed Quest. This means Timed Quests are returning to Final Fantasy XV but this time with a new ranking feature. Participating in these new improved Timed Quests will earn players a nice weapon reward.

Final Fantasy XV is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest update will launch on April 27, 2017.
