Have you ever wanted to strap some high explosives to babies and watch them go up in flames? Well firstly, you are a sick, sick person and you should check yourself in to some kind of facility. Secondly, you'll probably get a kick out of Exploding Babies, a brand-new game coming to Steam Early Access on August 15, 2019.

So, what's Exploding Babies about? Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory: there are babies and they explode. Technically, the babies don't explode until the bombs they have strapped to them go off, but I digress. You'll control one of several drone babies who are dropped into an arena via a UFO for reasons I have yet to understand. You will then maneuver yourself into smaller babies to cause explosions and hopefully knock your opponents out of the arena. Blast your opponents to bits and you'll win!

Developed by the appropriately-named Nutfarm, the game will feature a roster of twelve different babies, each with their own unique looks and stylish high explosives that children this young should definitely not have. Play in local co-op or online against your friends on maps that are almost as surreal as the general premise of this game.

Control of the babies is pretty straightforward and the game (thankfully) has cartoony violence rather than the horrifying potential for realistic gore. Also, there is somehow alcohol abuse in this game. No, really — check out the mature content description from the game's Steam Store page:

Acts of comic violence - this game is about exploding babies. Depictions of alcohol abuse.
Okay, so I guess at least some of the babies are probably alcoholics to boot. Family-friendly fun this ain't.

If this silly game sounds like your kind of jam, you can add Exploding Babies to your wishlist on Steam. You can also watch the game's reveal trailer below.
