Evo Evolution Championship Series 2017

The Evolution Championship Series of 2017 is four days away, and the brackets have been locked in place. Just as every year, the world's largest competitive fighting game event draws in every worthwhile name under the sun. With over 6800 entrants spread across nine games, there's bound to be quite a few top players among them. Here is a list of big names who have entered Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Injustice 2. If any were accidentally left out, feel free to list them in the comments. If you'd like to scour Evo's full attendee list on your own, check out the Smash.gg page found here.

The codes at the beginning of each line are the player's designated pool, which you can look up on Smash.gg if you wish to see the bracket. Also, player teams/sponsors are included in the listings, hence the “[sponsor/team] | [player name]” format.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Smash 4 returns to Evo with the second-most entries (1509) of the year, and finals are now slated for an afternoon slot on day three, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center arena. A plethora of different pros with a wide variety of characters are on their way to prove themselves on the big stage, including top players from the game's respectably large Japanese playerbase.
