Are you trying to install or update Office 2013 (or Office 365) on your computer, but are unable to due to the error: “Something went wrong. Office can’t do that right now because your product is busy with another task. Please wait for this task to complete and try again.” or “Windows cannot find ‘C:Program FilesMicrosoft Office 15clientX64integratedOffice.exe’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.” Fortunately, it’s an incredibly easy fix!

Step 1: End the process that causes the issue

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt+ Delete key -> Click on Task Manager to open. OR right click on the taskbar and click on “Start Task Manager”
  2. Under Processes tab -> Select integratedoffice.exe -> Click on End Process.

Step 2: Remove the above from the registry as well

  1. Visit This Link and download and run the “Fix it for me” tool
  2. Tool should remove the registry entries.

Step 3: Reboot and try again

  • Reboot your PC and try downloading and installing the software again

Step 4 (If the above didn’t work): Repeat Steps 1-3 and do the following

  1. Visit This Link and download and run the “Fix it for me” tool
  2. Re-Do Step 3, and issue should be resolved!
