It’s another week, which means Epic Games announced the next batch of free titles available on their launcher, no strings attached. This time, Epic is giving away two games: This War of Mine and Moonlighter. This giveaway marks the first time the company gives away two free games at once.

Players can enjoy Moonlighter and This War of Mine, available from July 25th through August 1st. To claim these titles, players need to log into their Epic Games account on either the store’s website or launcher. At the top of either page, the free games are seen right at the top for claiming. Then violà! You’re done and have not one, but two free games.

This War of Mine is a monochrome, depressing look at the horrors of war. Players take the role of a civilian during a war, and are tasked with making literal life-or-death situations in a world where morality is as gray as the game’s graphical style. This particular version launching on the Epic Games Store includes the title’s Anniversary Edition content, which includes a new ending and more.

Moonlighter is a roguelite title featuring shopkeeping and old-school Zelda-like dungeon exploration. Players can interact with citizens in the village of Rynoka and experience a wide cast of characters. Manage and upgrade your shop, and fight in intense and difficult dungeons featuring dangerous bosses and enemies.

Be sure to grab both these titles fast, as they will be available for a limited time. The current free game, Limbo, is still available for free until then. Again, you can download Moonlighter and This War of Mine for free starting on July 25th through August 1st.

Quick Take

This is the best haul of free games from Epic yet. I’m a bit biased since both of these games have been on my radar for some time. But again, it’s also the first time we get two free games in one week. Hopefully, this trend continues, because everyone loves free games, and the quality of these two titles can’t be beat, or so I hear!
