Well, it's certainly been a big week for Bethesda. Not only have they announced the return of Quake, Prey, and other big names, it would seem that the Elder Scrolls 6 is now already in development.

In accordance to an interview with Geoff Keighley, Bethesda Game Studios Director Todd Howard said that while they are working on the title, any official announcements is still a "very long way off". While the team is said to have a pretty good idea as to what they would like to see, Howard said it's just going to take technology and time.

I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, 'That sounds like you don't even have the technology, how long is that going to take?' And so it's something that's going to take a lot of time, what we have in mind for that game.” - Todd Howard, Youtube Live at E3

In addition to Elder Scrolls 6, Howard also mentioned that Bethesda is working on two large projects. Said to be bigger than anything Bethesda has done, Howard said that these projects will be released before Elder Scrolls 6. Howard refused to comment whether or not these projects will be a new IP.

In other Elder Scrolls related news, Bethesda announced earlier this week that they'll be releasing Skyrim Special Edition for current gen consoles.

In a short video teaser, the trailer showed off the 2011 in a all new graphical engine, which featured an increased depth of field, improved textures, and dynamic lighting effects. Much like Fallout 4, Skyrim Special Edition will allow console players to download hundreds of mods upon release.

Skyrim Special Edition will launch on October 29th for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. PC users will be given a free download so long as they have already purchased the game with all the DLC.
