Nutaku has announced that they’re adding the new ecchi visual novel Tears of Yggdrasil to their storefront(NSFW) from publisher Superhippo Games and developer MoonStar.

In Tears of Yggdrasil, you play as a Japanese high school student who is pulled into the magical lands to save the dying World Tree. Traveling across numerous worlds, the player has to solve problems in each world to help unite them together and save the world tree. These worlds are inspired by Norse mythology, with our world being Midgard and the other realms he must travel to include the highest levels of Asgard, and the lowest branch of Muspelheim. Featuring branching paths and various endings, the game also has a variety of characters you encounter including the Elven Princess Alvaerele Ikeshia, her maid Elisven, and the main character’s childhood friend Kogara Sachi.

The main character in Tears of Yggdrasil is Yamakazi Kusanagi, a relatively normal Japanese high school student. While he dreams of having a harem, he is also someone who goes out of his way to help people, and when he was younger practiced jujustu and kendo. When he awakens in this new magical realm with elves, he must figure out where he is, why, the connection between the earthquakes in Alfheim and his home, and while he’s at it also try to investigate the ongoing assassination attempt on the Elven Princess Alvaerele. Nothing much different from a normal day of going to school, and spending your day in your room otherwise right?

Tears of Yggdrasil is available on Nutaku right now for $9, as it is currently 10% off its normal $10 price due to a launch discount. Please note, that going to the page is NSFW and this product is only for those 18+.
