At the 2016 PlayStation Experience we had Sony announce three remasters coming to the PlayStation 4. Two of them: PaRappa the Rapper Remastered and LocoRoco Remastered have already been released. We now learned that the third remaster, Patapon Remastered, will be launching this summer.

Patapon was a PlayStation Portable rhythm/RTS that released in 2008 where you controlled an army by playing the drums. You could drum out specific beats which would then instruct your army to attack, defend, or move forward. You would also have to recruit and create new troops using ingredients you found in battles, played minigames for special rewards, and fought your way through 30 levels in an effort to defeat the Zigoton Empire. The game was received very well upon launch, and is often looked back as one of the best games available on the PsP. It eventually spawned two sequels, but there's no word if those are heading to the PlayStation 4 yet. The remastered version of the game will, for the most part, be very much like the original, albeit the game will now have 4k resolution.

In addition to this, Sony has also announced that LocoRoco 2 will also be getting a remastered edition. They didn't have much else to say about it, but it seems likely that it'll have features similar to the remaster of the original game, such as being able to use the gyroscopic controls in the Ps4's controller to tilt the level and 4K resolutions. LocoRoco 2 is a puzzle game where you need to guide a blob through levels by tilting the levels themselves and splitting the blob up to get through smaller passages and hit multiple areas at once.

Patapon Remastered and LocoRoco 2 Remastered are both coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4.
