Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy

Today Activision has announced that they have added one major new feature to the Crash Bandicoot games in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy: the ability to play as Crash's sister Coco in all three games.

Coco, who was first introduced in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and was playable for some stages in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, is Crash's sister and general tech nerd. Now she will be playable for every level in every game. Coco has her own set of unique moves, including a double leg drop, and her own set of idle animations. The story reason, just in case you're concerned, is that Coco hacks into the Time Twister to send herself back in time to help Crash on his adventures.

Jennifer Oneal, the studio head of Vicarious Visions, had the following to say about this:

We are so excited to give players the ability to play as Coco in all three games in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. She's not just Crash's little sister, she is a force to be reckoned with. Our vision was to create a modern Coco for Crash fans and newcomers, and we think they're going to love playing as her.
Besides the new character the game will feature a unified save and checkpoint system across all three games. There's also improved bonus levels and time trials for you to partake in. A new online leaderboard will also allow you to compare your runs with other players, so you can see who's doing best at specific levels. The game will also feature a completely remastered soundtrack, and newly recorded dialogue from the original voice actors. Activision has confirmed they got Jess Harnell, Lex Lang, and Debi Derryberry back, along with some other voice actors.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming out June 30th exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
