ReCore Leak Screenshot 1

Today is the day full of leaks.

Another leak, this time originating from NeoGaf, has confirmed the release date and some screenshots for the game ReCore, by former Capcom developer Keiji Inafune along with creators of Metroid Prime.

The leak, coming from the user Gwyn who also leaked the Dead Rising 4 information a week ago, has provided two screenshots of ReCore, and detailed the game's eventual release date, which is slated for a September 13th release in North America, September 14th release in Japan, and September 15th release for Europe. No other details about the game have been revealed at this time, other than the information shared at E3 last year, which showcased a world premiere trailer and one of the core gameplay mechanics of using some sort of grappling hook to fight enemies and solve puzzles.

ReCore is an action-adventure game being developed by Armature Studios and Comcept Inc. Comcept Inc. was established by Keiji Inafune in 2010, after leaving Capcom at the conclusion of the development of Dead Rising 2. Since then, Comcept has released games such as Soul Sacrifice and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Comcept is currently still trying to release their own Kickstarter game, Mighty No. 9 after suffering serious delays.

Armature Studios was founded in 2008 by Mark Pacini, Jack Matthews Todd Keller of Retro Studios, the team behind the Metroid Prime series. Armature has worked on several titles, including Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, and will be handling the publishing of the Kickstarted game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for the PS Vita and Wii U.

Boxart for the game has also been leaked on NeoGaf, sporting a red-haired woman and lots of robots in a wasteland on the cover.

ReCore is also being published by Microsoft, and will only be released for the PC (Windows 10) and the Xbox One. More information regarding ReCore will likely be revealed at the Microsoft conference tomorrow, including an official announcement of the release date.

So what do you think about this? Do you like the look of ReCore at all? Please leave your comments below.
