Techland is ready to return to Dying Light.

The latest news details the upcoming expansion pack for the game, subtitled The Following. According to the Techland team, "We now are moving into the polishing period. Looking at it, it’s clear how big the expansion pack has grown – it could be a standalone title, but since it would mean a launch delay, we decided against it."

Due to the size of Dying Light: The Following, Techland has revised its current plans for the new content. The new price of the DLC has been revealed to be $19.99. Previously, the price was $14.99 when the content was first revealed in a trailer back in August after it was announced in July.

The new price also effects the season pass pricing. The expansion itself will still be free for those who have purchased the season pass for Dying Light, but the season pass will have its price increased to $29.99 starting December 8th, 2015. Previously, the season pass was only $19.99. Techland stated that they "didn’t want this to come as a surprise" for their fanbase, so they are announcing the price change in advance. Those who have purchased the season pass already do not have to pay extra either, and fans can still buy the season pass for $19.99 until December 8th.

Dying Light: The Following will follow the story of Kyle Crane as he travels around the Outback. There, he will meet "mysterious and fanatical cultists" that know about the zombie outbreak. The Following will also introduce new weapons and drivable vehicles, such as a dirt buggy.  Further details are scarce, but Techland is promising more information in the coming weeks.

Dying Light: The Following is slated for a Spring 2016 release.

So what do you think of this news? Are you glad Techland is adjusting their pricing accordingly for Dying Light? Is the expansion pack worth it? Leave your comments below.
