Dungeons and Dragons Elemental Evil Announced!

Wizards of the Coast has announced the latest storyline, Elemental Evil,  for RPG behemoth Dungeons and Dragons. Elemental Evil will introduce new content across a large range of digital and tabletop D&D products beginning in March and running through mid-summer.

Xbox One owners should be on the lookout during this time as Cryptic Studios has announced that the Neverwinter MMO will be available to them in early 2015 as well as announcing  Elemental Evil as a downloadable module for all Neverwinter players, which includes a new playable Paladin class and increases the game's level cap to 70.

Fans of more traditional pen and paper tabletop D&D can look forward to  the Princes of the Apocalypse adventure on April 7, 2015. Princes of the Apocalypse includes an adventure for characters levels 1 - 15 as well as new elemental spells and a the "element-touched genasi" a new playable race. Additionally a free download will be available in mid-March that includes more new races plus the player content available in Princes of the Apocalypse and will coincide with the beginning of the Elemental Evil D&D Adventurers League, which will run from March through mid-summer.

Board gamers will want to keep an eye out for the Temple of Elemental Evil Adventure System Board Game which is slated for release on April 30, 2015 from WizKids Games. The Temple of Elemental Evil board game is a fully cooperative game for 1 - 5 players where each player will take on the role of an adventurer exploring dungeons beneath the Sword Coast. Temple of Elemental Evil will be fully compatible with other adventure system board games in the line including Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon and Legend of Drizzt.

Other products slated for release will include a DM screen and unpainted resin miniatures from Gale Force Nine as well as a line of pre-painted miniatures from WizKids. WizKids has also partnered with Perfect World Entertainment, developer of the Neverwinter MMO to bundle in-game items for Neverwinter with the Temple of Elemental Evil Adventure System Board Game and miniatures boosters.
