Back in March Sony announced that they would be delisting Driveclub from PSN before the year was out, and shutting down the servers next year. While the game has been pulled from most versions of the PlayStation Network, the NA version is still available to purchase nearly a week later.

Sony announced that they would be delisting Driveclub, Driveclub VR, and Driveclub Bikes, along will all the DLC for each game, on August 31st, 2019. However, something that came as a surprise to a lot of people, all three games were pulled off of PSN on August 30th for Europe, Asia, and Japan, a day earlier than promised. Mysteriously, the NA version of the game managed to survive this early culling. In fact, nearly a week later, you can still buy it. All of the DLC is available as well. If you still own the game you'll be able to play it, and can even still play online until the servers shut down on March 31st, 2020.

Driveclub was developed by Evolution Studios, who was behind the World Rally Championship series on the PlayStation 2, and the Motorstorm series on the PlayStation 3. It was originally intended to be a launch game for the PlayStation 4, but was delayed several times before finally launching on October 7th, 2014, to mixed reviews. Despite this, the game had a loyal following and received several DLC expansions, including both a VR one and one focused on motorcycles. For those who want to know more, video editor Nick Maillet has made a retrospective video explaining the game's appeal and what happened to it.

We've reached out to Sony about this, but have not received a comment by the time this story has gone up. We'll update it if we hear back from them. If you're still interested in Driveclub it's still available for $19.99, but likely not for much longer.

Going to grab Driveclub while you still can? Not interested in the final moments? Wish the game caught on better than it actually did? Let us know in the comments below!
