Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the latest entry into the long-running JRPG franchise is set for release later this year and for those looking to get their hands on bonus content, the full pre-order details have been announced. Square Enix detailed the pre-order bonuses in a press release. They include cosmetic items both in-game and in real life.
Pre-order incentives at GameStop in the United States (affiliate link), or EB Games in Canada, include eight exclusive collectible two-inch buttons featuring the main cast and the mysterious spirits of lost time, as well as an exclusive in-game DLC pack which contains:
- The “Elevating Vest” - A snazzy waistcoat that awards the wearer with extra experience every time they win a battle; and
- Three “Seeds of Skill” - A nifty nut that confers an extra skill point upon anyone who eats it (consumed upon use).
Players that pre-order the game from Amazon (affiliate link) will receive an exclusive in-game DLC pack including:
- “Arriviste’s Vest” - A glitzy gold waistcoat that awards the wearer with extra money every time a battle is won; and
- Three “Seeds of Skill” - A nifty nut that confers an extra skill point upon anyone who eats it (consumed upon use).
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is set to release September 4, 2018, on PlayStation 4 and Steam. The game was released in Japan in July 2017 and came to both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. The game is set in the fantasy world of Lotozetasia. The player takes the role of a young man with a strange birthmark on his left hand who, after turning 16, must climb a great mountain called God's Rock. There is a Nintendo Switch version in the works, though an exact release date has yet to be announced.
