One of the nicest things about holidays is the push for charity that many make, and this year is no exception. Charity calendars are also a staple of the season, and this year Rare Ltd has decided to get in on the action, releasing a calendar with all profits going to the charity SpecialEffect.

It's a pirate's life for Bailey! Adventurer, explorer, sailor on the high seas and rumored star of the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Someone get his agent on the phone!

And what, you may ask, is the subject of this calendar? Dogs and puppies of Rare! Most recently known for their release of the Microsoft exclusive Sea of Thieves earlier this year, there is a definite nautical theme to some of the pictures, featuring dogs dressed up in dapper bowties, pirate costumes and posing on treasure chests, among other things. There’s also dogs surrounded by all their booty ie. Toys, and sporting a variety of fetching hats.

While Gracie does not have a hat, she does have the nickname piranha. Could someone please tell Gracie I love her? Thank you very much.

The calendar is currently available for pre-order and will be released on December 3rd. As previously mentioned, the proceeds will go to SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity aimed at bringing accessibility in video games to gamers with disabilities. The charity uses modified technology, home visits and has a positive impact on quality of life, therapy and confidence of those it helps. Will you be purchasing these adorable puppers for a good cause? Got an idea for next years theme or would you rather see the cats of Rare? Let us know in the comments below!
