The first wave of collaborative DLC for Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash brings three characters from Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to the third-person shooter. Ayane, Honoka and Marie Rose make the jump from Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to the latest Senran Kagura game. Each character bundle comes with their own identifying flag, doll and fan, and all three bring over outfits from the DOA fighting games. Further DLC released will continue the collaborative DLC streak, adding characters from Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni, Ikki Tousen and Super Sonico.
Fresh off of their exploits at New Zack Island, the girls of DOAX3 are no strangers to sun-drenched swimsuit action. The full DOAX3 pack comes with all three characters and the additional six outfits to round out your collection, though if not everything included is to your liking, outfits and characters can be purchased piecemeal. Each individual character pack runs $5.99, with the character bundle running $14.99, and the full pack costing $25.99. You can check out Ayane, Honoka and Marie Rose in action below:
A third-person shooter may seem like unusual territory for Senran Kagura to tread, but you should remember that the series has a rhythm/cooking game, a couple of sidescrolling beat-em-ups, and a 3D brawling game. For a series known for nearly nude ninjas sparring with one another, no subject matter is off-limits. Peach Beach Splash itself is a team-based third-person shooter, with players making a team of five girls out of 30 options. As the story goes, the ninjas have come to the seaside to partake in the ancient “Peach Beach Splash” tournament. Which is, of course, demands that the shinobi fight with water guns instead of their traditional ninja arts. Players can customize weapons and abilities for their team, and take on the extensive and irreverent story mode, partake in a co-op survival mode either offline or online, and participate in 5v5 multiplayer matches.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 still has not been officially released outside of Asia, with importing currently the only way to play in the West, although an English language version was released in Asia. As it stands, this collaborative DLC may well be the only way to easily see the girls from DOAX3 here in the West.
