If you are a fan of Divinity: Original Sin and are looking for something to hold you over until the sequel, Larian Studios will soon be releasing the Enhanced Edition of Divinity: Original Sin.

Larian Studios announced the Enhanced Edition earlier this year, and the release date has been set for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will be released on October 27th, and pre-orders are available with the promise of some in-game rewards. It is speculated that the Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will also release on PC at this time, but there has been no official announcement from Larian Studios yet on the pc release date.

All pre-orders will include the Last Trick Bag, which will allow players to craft a grenade and a wand to access two of the new weapon types available in the Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. PS4 players will also receive a Secret Trick Bag, while Xbox One players will get the Forgotten Trick Bag.

The Secret Trick Bag contains:

  • Grumio's Backpack
  • Pamphlet of recipes
  • 3 x Grumio's Favourite Triad Dye
  • 2 x Grenades ingredients
  • 1 x Inert Wand

With these ingredients, you can create:

  • Eye of the Patriarch grenade
  • Blue Dragon wand (with an Invisibility skill)

The Forgotten Trick Bag contains:

  • Grumio's Backpack
  • Pamphlet of recipes
  • 3 x Grumio's Petrol Brand Dye
  • 2 x Grenades ingredients
  • 1 x Inert Wand

With these ingredients, you can create:

  • Breaching Fire grenade
  • Silver Dragon wand (with a Teleportation skill)

Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition promises to be far more than a simple touch up. All new quests, revamped main storyline, new items, an improved crafting system, brand new difficulty settings, and new styles of combat are some of the features on offer from the Enhanced Edition. All characters have been given voice overs and everything from the user interface to the graphics have been improved.

A full list of changes in the Enhanced Edition can be found here.

One of the most touted features, however, is the inclusion of seamless split screen cooperative play on consoles (and PC, supposedly, through SteamOS.) Players will be able to quest together or separately in the same game, being able to enter combat and complete quests independent from one another if they choose.

People who already have a copy of Divinity: Original Sin on Steam will have a copy of the Enhanced Edition added to their Steam accounts at no extra cost.
