Few gamers have heard of Metal Wolf Chaos, and even fewer have played the mech-based character action title from Dark Souls developer From Software. Focusing on fictitious President Michael Wilson and his conflict with the traitorous Vice President Richard Hawk, Metal Wolf Chaos is an insanely patriotic game that trumpets its (likely ironic) near-fetishized love for the United States of America from the mountaintops. Yet somehow, despite all the explosions, American flags, and calls for 'believing in your own justice', this fully English voiced game never made it outside of Japan.
Devolver Digital aims to change that.

This announcement came out of nowhere, especially considering the FreeMetalWolf hashtag comes from the Super Best Friends recent lets play of Metal Wolf Chaos. However, despite the strange circumstances that have spurred this movement, I think we can all agree America would be a much better place if graced by the burning American freedom of President Wilson and his burning american freedom.
Our Take
This is probably the best news all day. I have always been envious of those who got to experience Metal Wolf Chaos past just watching playthroughs, and the mere idea that this game might make it to western shores has me excited. Devolver Digital's brought stranger titles to a western audience in the past (Read: Hatoful Boyfriend), so the idea of them helping From's cult hit across the pacific isn't too far fetched. While only time will tell if this will amount to anything, I have high hopes for the future.
And even if it doesn't, would it be too much to ask for the Metal Wolf in the already hyper-american Broforce? Please?
