Devespresso Games’ promise to improve Vambrace: Cold Soul according to fan feedback continues with even more newly-added features.

One highly-requested inclusion for Vambrace is New Game +. Players who beat the game can now go back and collect any costumes they missed out on during their first playthrough of the game. Vambrace also features multiple endings, so you can now go back and see a different outcome to the overall story with New Game +. If you would like to find out how to access New Game +, check out Update 1.06’s patch notes. Be warned, the directions to utilize New Game + is a small spoiler.

Along with New Game + is the ability to skip the tutorial, so your second go at Vambrace should be faster. If players begin Vambrace for the first time, they can also fast forward the tutorial now too.

Vambrace features multiple classes with different abilities, and the Hedge Mage received a buff. The Hedge Mage is a healer, and now she is can heal more with her basic ability. Her flourish, which is a special move that gradually becomes available, now charges at a faster rate. The flourish ability itself is also able to heal more than before.

Several other smaller inclusions were added for this update, including a new item called Bullion Chips. These can be sold for extra money. Several bug fixes are also added with update 1.06. Lastly, the post teases upcoming Steam cards which are waiting for approval. Likely in the next update, players will be able to gather cards and create Steam badges out of them.

Quick Take

I’m particularly pleased to find the Hedge Mage buffed in this update. I’ve used the Hedge Mage in my party for all of my expeditions thus far. It’s vital to have a healer on your team, and every little bit counts, but she was a bit underwhelming. Everything else is just icing on the cake. I’m looking forward to Steam cards as well because for some reason I enjoy collecting virtual cards… I might have a problem.

I love to write, and I love to game. So, I've combined those two hobbies into one! Some of my favorite games include Fire Emblem, Halo, The Elder Scrolls, and World of Warcraft. Sometimes I like to read the occasional fantasy novel, too!
