The trailer is set 30 hours after Adam is caught in a terrorist attack, here Adam needs to repair his wounds. This is set two years after Deus Ex: Human Revolution. In the trailer, we get to see the HUD including health, hotkeys, the map. This demo shows the kinds of intractable features that will be in the world including a variety of different item management systems, as well as the ability to watch TV to catch up on the latest news.

Deus Ex: Manking Divided World

Highlighting how the world has been built for exploration is the demo points out that as you explore the world you can enter others apartments, look around different streets, and take in the world around you. You can change how much resistance that you encounter along the way by either following the law or rebelling against it. There will be choices that you can make along the way as you encounter cops giving people issues that might mean that you walk by, or take out the cops to save others. There will also be side quests that you are able to complete.

Verticality is a new focus in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, depending on your augmentations of course, there will be cases where you need to use the environment to climb buildings but you might also be able to make it on your own. Along the way, another hindrance that you face would be networks that you need to hack, forcing you to use strategy and quick thinking.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Different Approaches

Smart Vision can be used to allow you to see enemies, even through walls, as well as what weapons and other items they have and might be dropping. There will be a variety of situations where you can walk in through the front door and have to fight waves of enemies but then there could also be a way to sneak around and get in undetected. Takedowns from cover have been implemented allowing for you to take out enemies while remaining under cover. It's important to always look at your environment and assess which approach you want to take to any situation. It's also important to know that you can have a lethal or a non-lethal approach, which means that you can either knock out enemy soldiers or kill them. There is no word yet whether that will affect the way soldiers react to you later in the game or not.

What do you think of this game play demo? Are you excited to see the kinds of things that you're able to do?
