Destiny Update 1.1.1, the most recent update for the game, includes reduced damage of auto-rifles, networking improvements and several fixes for weapons and armor.  In total, the new update has 51 new or changed features. Bungie, the game's development company, posted a list of all the updates yesterday afternoon.

The update also prevents enemies from dropping heavy ammo in Crucible matches, and allows players to see the reputation of their faction and weekly mark counters by checking the character inventory screen.

There is still no release date for when the patch will be available, but it will be mandatory in order to play.

Destiny, Bungie's first new franchise since they released Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001, is a first person shooter which incorporates elements of MMOs and RPGs. Players can create a character from one of three races and one of three classes, and then choose between two sub-classes determined by the class they've chosen. The player can then gain experience and upgrade his character through a skill tree upgrading system, which allows the player to use other weapons and abilities.

While Destiny's story, which is intended to be pieced together from clues given to players throughout the game, is still a bit of a mystery, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic future in which the advancements in technology and colonization of other planets - which were made during the game's fictional historical period called "the golden age" - are destroyed in an event called "The Collapse." The only known survivors of The Collapse are on Earth, and aliens have taken over the planets humans once colonized.

Bungie had been building hype for the game since 2009 when they included a sign that read "Destiny awaits" in their game Halo 3: ODST. In it's first week, the game had sold $325 million dollars worth of copies, which comes out to 6.5 million copies of the game at $50 a piece. The game currently has a Metacritic score of 76 and 75 for PS4 and XBox One respectively.
