The first expansion in Bungie’s space epic has been announced to be releasing by the end of the year, along with a price tag for $20.
The first expansion to Bungie’s new mythos is set to be released on December 9th, with a price tag of $19.99. The additions include a bump in the light level cap to level 32, new armor and weapons, three new multiplayer arenas, one Co-op Strike for all platforms, with one extra exclusively for PlayStation players, a new six player raid, new story missions, and five new bounty slots.
To someone who has admittedly never played Destiny, it looks as though there is something for every player, along with perhaps the beginning of an improved storyline. This looks to be good news for all of those disappointed with what the main game had to offer, at least in terms of content.
The new story missions focus on a new character named Eris, who emerges from hiding to warn players of the Hive, the dastardly villains that are seemingly trying to summon a god and bring DOOM to those on Earth. Obviously, as one of the few that are brave/insane enough to stop the Hive, you are called to save the world, while of course collecting as much swell loot as possible.
For it is your Destiny to shell out $20 for this new expansion, or for those who are proactive, you could even go a step further and just buy the season pass for $34.99. The expansion includes both The Dark Below and The House of Wolves, and if one would were to buy House of Wolves for a (presumed) $20, then you could save $5 if you bought the season pass! What a swell deal.
