What would you kill for?

That is one of the driving questions behind Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and it appears someone may have killed to get this game onto Steam. Developer Spike ChunSoft has announced that the title will be receiving a PC release in February. It is a mixture of detective game and visual novel as you are trapped in Hope's Peak Academy, the nation's best school and where the nefarious Monokuma is running his little game serving as judge, jury and executioner. You have to figure out the mysteries, who did it, and convince not just Monokuma but also sway your classmates to your side as you have to solve not just the mystery of the ongoing student murders, but also what is going on in general.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc also has some timing and reflex based game systems to help change up the pace of play from reading and investigation and help keep the tension high. Given that it's a murder mystery, that feeling of tension and dread is an important element to keep and something that can be difficult to do when players are a step away through the game interface and have a lot of time to think on particular issues.

Timing Game

This will mark Spike Chunsoft's first PC release and they have said they plan on bringing more titles to PC, along with focusing more on the English-language community with new social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter aimed at English discussion. Danganronpa: Trigger happy Havoc will be launching with Steam Achievements, and Steam Cloud saves with Steam Trading Cards likely to come in the future. Additionally, while the interface and subtitles are in English, the audio comes with the option for either English or Japanese allowing you to decide which you would prefer to listen to, a commonly contentious issue with Japanese localized games.

Those who purchase it early will get a copy of the 16-track OST "Despair-in-Sterio". There is no announced price yet or exact date announced yet for Dangronpa although those should be coming soon.
