There's a new update coming for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled tomorrow. The update will introduce the game's first Grand Prix event, fix an important issue on PS4, and add some quality-of-life improvements.

First up, Activision and Beenox are fixing a nasty issue with the PS4 version of the game. If you play a lot of time trial races on the PS4 version of CTR Nitro-Fueled, your save data has a chance to become corrupted. Tomorrow's patch will fix this issue, but if you're a PS4 player it's best to stay away from time trials for now. As a thank-you for players' patience, Activision and Beenox are gifting 2,500 Wumpa Coins to all players across all platforms. All you need to do to claim your gift is play Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled while online before July 4th. Simply complete a race while connected to the internet, then access the game's Pit Stop.

The new patch will also introduce Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's first Grand Prix event. You can start earning Nitro Points and unlocking a bunch of new stuff by completing challenges found in the Grand Prix menu. A new track, Twilight Tour, will be available. You'll be able to unlock new character Tawna by completing Grand Prix challenges and earning Nitro Points. There's also a bunch of new customization stuff to look forward to including new karts, skins, decals, and paint jobs. Once the Grand Prix is over you'll lose your chance to unlock Tawna in this way. Make sure you check it out if you're interested.

There's new stuff in the Pit Stop too. A variety of new karts, characters, skins, stickers, and other parts will be available. You'll be able to redeem your Wumpa Coins to grab these new goodies. Nitro Squad characters Ami, Megumi, Isabella, and Liz will be available for your hard-earned Wumpa Coins. There will also be a whole host of stickers depicting flags from various nations. Rep your country by adding one of these to your kart.

If you want to know everything that's coming in the patch, you can check out the full list of content additions and fixes right here. While you wait for the patch to land, check out TechRaptor's review of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
