Another week, another free game on the Epic Store. This week you can get horror game Conarium, and next week you'll get... well, we're not quite sure. But it's probably Batman.

Your free game this week is Conarium. A horror game that takes inspiration from Lovecraft elements, you'll be following four scientists in an Antarctic base as they slowly lose their minds and experience horrifying alternate realities. The game was inspired by the book At the Mountains of Madness by H.P. Lovecraft but claims to actually be set after the story, serving more like a sequel. Regardless, you'll be solving puzzles and dodging monsters to try and avoid getting killed. Conarium was developed by Zoetrope Interactive, developers of the Darkness Within series, and published by Iceberg Interactive. It originally released for PC on June 6th, 2017, with a console port having released earlier this year.

So what's next week's game? Well, that's up in the air. The picture is that of Batman, but the game itself is marked as "???". To be more specific, the picture is styled after the cover for the Batman 80th Anniversary 18-Film Collection, only instead of Batman movies, it's Batman games. We were able to identify art from all three LEGO Batman games, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. Is a Batman 6-pack in the works? It's certainly possible, and it'd be a lot of game for very little money. The only real certainty seems that, as always, Arkham Origins will get the short end of the stick.

Conarium will be free to grab until September 19th. Next week's mystery game(s?) will run from the 19th until the 26th.

Have you played Conarium? Got any ideas on what next week's free game is? Do you think it may be Batman's European cousin Nightmonkey? Let us know in the comments below!
