Conan Exiles will be making its way to the Xbox One on August 16, 2017 according to a press release from the game's developer & publisher Funcom.

The open-world survival game based on Robert E. Howard's Conan The Barbarian universe will be making its way to Xbox Game Preview in just under two months. Conan Exiles will be on the Xbox One soon enough, and first adopters of the Xbox One X need not fret - the game will also be brought to Microsoft's latest console at a later date. The Xbox One X version of the game will coincide with an update supporting 4K resolution, one of the major selling points of the latest generation Xbox.

Alongside the console launch, the game will be releasing an expansion for both PC and Xbox One simultaneously. A teaser trailer has been released to showcase some of the upcoming content and features:

The expansion will be expanding the game's world by "roughly 50%" according to a statement from Funcom Head of Games Lawrence Poe. Some of the included goodies will be new buildings, environments, gameplay features, and monsters. As the game is still in development through the Early Access system (and soon, the Xbox equivalent system Game Preview), the Expansion will be launched as a free update to anyone who already owns the game or purchases it while it is still in development.

For more information on the game's upcoming expansion, head on over to the official expansions website to learn more and stay up to date with the latest information. More details about the expansion will be coming later this summer. In the meantime, if you absolutely want to play the game right now you can pick it up on Steam.

What do you think of Conan Exiles overall? Will you be picking the game up on one of the Xbox consoles? What new developments do you hope will make their way into the game in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
