Is your terminal server (or computer) starting to fill up on space? If so, clearing out your temp files could potentially clear up a ton of space! There are multiple ways of doing this, but if you have multiple users on your server that use the internet/server regularly, a program called ICSWEEP is perfect for you. It only takes a few minutes per user to delete all temporary and temporary internet files from profiles. See below on how to use it!

Step 1: Download

Step 2: Place icsweep.exe on the root of your C: drive.

Step 3: Make sure all users are logged off, as the program will not work on profiles that are actively being used.

Step 4: Open Command Prompt (Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt)

Step 5: Type “cd C:”  and hit ENTER

Step 6: Type one of the following:

  • icsweep /tmp to clear temp files.
  • icsweep /tif to clear temporary Internet files
  • icsweep /all for both

Step 7: Close all Windows and see how much space you have cleared up!

That’s it! Simple, right? Let us know in the comments if this program has worked well for you!
