The Chroma Squad Nintendo Switch version has had its release date announced. If you're feeling a bit nostalgic for the Power Rangers, you'll have something fun to play pretty soon — the Nintendo Switch edition of this game arrives in August 2019.

If you haven't yet played Chroma Squad, the premise is pretty simple. Five stuntmen decide to quit their day jobs and form their own version of a Power Rangers-esque television show. Unfortunately, they don't exactly have the backing of a big studio, so they have to make all of their equipment out of cardboard and duct tape. But hey, that's part of the charm! Heck, they even have a big ol' cardboard Megazord!

Players take on the role of the titular Chroma Squad, working their way through tactical RPG battles and earning bigger and better equipment for their efforts. It's been out on PC and the other consoles for a while now, and this delightful game is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch on August 1, 2019.

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version of Chroma Squad are now available — and they come with a special bonus, too! Anyone who purchases a copy before July 31, 2019, will also score a copy of Aikemi's game Transcripted for Free according to a press release.

The Chroma Squad Nintendo Switch edition launches on August 1, 2019. You can pre-purchase your copy via the Nintendo eShop. If you'd prefer to play it on another platform, you can pick it up for PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam, the Humble Store, GOG, or Fanatical at the price of $14.99 or your regional equivalent0. Console players can get it at the same price at the Microsoft Store for the Xbox One and the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4.
