Today, The Farm 51 announced that their in-development title Chernobylite, a science-fiction survival horror title, will be released on Steam Early-Access on October 16.

Utilizing the Unreal 4 Engine, Players will be able to experience a different type of survival game--the area surrounding (as well as including) the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Players will be able to explore a Kopachi kindergarten, the Eye of Moscow, and the abandoned city of Pripyat. There will be over 8 hours of content for players for Chernobylite's Early Access launch, with later updates including new episodes, locations, equipment, and characters. Locations are scanned into the game using Reality 51's scanning technology, giving the title a much more authentic feeling.
The story for Chernobylite changes according to the player, making it both unpredictable and non-linear. There will be many endings possible for the player, so if players want to try to achieve a different ending, they can and they will do so. Players will be able to ally with different stalkers to try and survive. However, life is fleeting. Allies will die, supplies will run out, and players could be found by a patrol at any moment. Players must also watch out for supernatural dangers that are arriving from an alternate reality. In order to survive, plans must be made. To do so, players must craft weapons and gear to protect themselves from both a hostile military and the supernatural while trying to discover what is happening.
Chernobylite launches on Steam's Early Access on October 16, with a full release sometime in 2020.

Definitely not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the work that has gone into this. The graphics and the fact that a lot of Chernobyl has been scanned into the game is very impressive.
