Capcom Pro Tour 2017

The fourth and final Capcom Pro Tour online event for Asia has been held, and a lot of heavy hitters and big names decided to show up, especially those who are known locally, but lack the opportunities to travel abroad for competition.

Streaming was held on the official CapcomFighters channel on Twitch. As usual, players will be listed in “[sponsor/team name] | [player name] [[characters used]]” format.

Echo Fox's Momochi manages to take the win after an intense grand finals against his peer, Mago. This win grants him 160 CPT points, bringing his total up to a safe and secure 661. Before the tournament, he was at 29th, a very dangerous spot on the standings that was liable to see him knocked out of qualification range for Capcom Cup. However, he's now almost certainly able to qualify. Mago's second place finish gives him 100 CPT points, landing him at 32nd on the leaderboards. He'll need to attend as many of the remaining regional and premiere events as he can if he wants to slide into Capcom Cup at the last second.

Furthermore, after the event, Dogura now sits at an unsafe 28th on the CPT board, with Haitani, Tokido, and Fuudo still comfortable in high positions. NL and Poongko, the two sole non-Japanese players in top 8, are still in the top 50, but will have to pull out all the stops if they wish to gain the necessary points.
