Capcom has announced its own arcade-style mini-console. Called the Capcom Home Arcade this will come with 16 classic Capcom arcade titles and is physically two arcade sticks.

The mini-console is powered via a Micro USB connection and uses an HDMI port to connect to a compatible display. It'll come with two built-in controllers, each of which features eight buttons and an arcade joystick. The console will, naturally, support two-player games out of the box, but looks like you'll need to sit pretty close together to play. Try to pick someone you like if you're gonna enjoy some multiplayer arcade action.

Here's a full list of all the games which will come built-in to the Capcom Home Arcade:

  • 1944: The Loop Master
  • Alien vs. Predator
  • Armored Warriors
  • Capcom Sports Club
  • Captain Commando
  • Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Eco Fighters
  • Final Fight
  • Ghouls'n'Ghosts
  • Gigawing
  • Mega Man: The Power Battle
  • Progear
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Strider
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

Plenty there for fans of all genres to sink their teeth into. This being an arcade mini-console, none of Capcom's home console fare is represented here. Still, many of Capcom's biggest franchises are on display, so it's hard to complain about the lineup. The Capcom Home Arcade comes with onboard WiFi, so you can upload your scores to a worldwide leaderboard. No word on online multiplayer, although it's a fairly safe bet there won't be any.

Capcom has handily provided a bit of technical info for those interested, too. The arcade sticks on the Capcom Home Arcade are competition-class Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks with OBSF buttons. The games on the machine are CPS1 and CPS2 arcade ROMs with FB Alpha emulation, which Capcom says makes this an "authentic & accurate" experience. It'll be plug and play, so all you need to do is connect the console to a USB power supply and an HDMI-compatible display and you're off.

The Capcom Home Arcade will launch on October 25th this year. No word yet on US pricing, but the European asking price currently stands at €229.99. We'll bring you more on this as we get it.
