Just Cause 3

Things have been interesting when it comes to Square Enix's promotions regarding the anticipated Just Cause 3. When you're offering an island as part of a giveaway, that's taking things to the next level. And Square Enix is at it again, but this time they are looking for help in terms of a new trailer for their game. Fans of the series can now get directly involved in the release of the game, as you can enter into creating a trailer using assets provided by Square Enix and with $5,000 worth of prizes.

Square Enix is looking for a 1-2 minute trailer that "captures all the action, energy, fun, and atmosphere of Just Cause 3". This can come in a variety of forms, whether it be a live action move or an action-packed gameplay trailer. The contest has 3 different categories: Best Action, Best Use of Audio, and Best Humour. Of those 3, there will be one grand prize winner and it'll become the official Just Cause 3 trailer. The available prizes are listed below, which include a NEAT microphone, a Les Paul Custom Pro Guitar, and a "top-spec PC rig" including an i7 processor and an UHD monitor:

Some nice prizes, that's for sure.

Now, Square Enix has given you a creative kit to work with, including a licensed music track of Tick Tick Boom Boom by Razihel (which seems highly appropriate), as well as gameplay rushes and indicate you can use any gameplay footage available online. It looks like they've partnered with the creators of Cakewalk to help with the audio portion of things, as you can get a free trial of the service through the challenge.

The submissions for the contest must be through YouTube, and the deadline for the submissions is November 12th, 23:59 GMT. Note, you can only have one submission, so you have to make it count. There are only a select list of countries however that the promotion is available for: Australia (excluding Tasmania), Austria, Belgium, Canada excluding Quebec (due to giveaway laws), Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong (of course it's a country?), Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Portugal, and Brazil.
