The acclaimed adventure game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is getting another re-release, this time for the Nintendo Switch.

The game was first released in 2013 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC by developer Starbreeze Studios and publisher 505 interactive, and has been subsequently ported to next generation consoles several times, with the last major port being for iOS devices in 2016.

The Switch port of Brothers will contain one extra feature however, the ability to play two player co-op that is exclusive to the console. This will allow two players to experience Brothers together, instead of the one player set up that was standard for every other version of the game.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was the first video game directed by Josef Fares, the Swedish-Lebanese film director, known for several Swedish comedies such as Kopps (2003) and Balls (2010), along with the award-winning drama film Zozo (2005). Fares has since made a name for himself in the gaming industry. Along with Brothers, Fares is well known for his second game, A Way Out, and for his colorful comments at the Video Game Awards over the past few years.

Brothers is the story of two brothers, named Naiee and Naia who embark on a mystical quest to find the tree of life, in an attempt to save their dying father. The brothers meet a cast of characters that range from hungry wolves to friendly trolls, and must solve puzzles to progress through the game.

Brothers has been critically acclaimed since it launched in 2013, winning the 2014 BAFTA Award for Best Game Innovation, along with the Best Xbox Game Award at the VGX Award Show.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will be released on the Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, May 28th.
