Today at BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft: Classic will be released Summer 2019, with all players with a World of Warcraft subscription able to play without any additional fee.
Today, BlizzCon attendees will be able to play World of Warcraft: Classic, along with those who have bought the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. For those at home, players will be able to play a cumulative 60 minutes before being disconnected for 30 minutes. Players will be able to hop in at 1 PM PST and can play off-and-on until 10 AM PST November 8. Two zones will be available, Westfall and The Barrens from level 15-19. Players will not be able to go anywhere else but stay within their zone, and PvP is not enabled.

Quick Take
While I am disappointed that WoW: Classic will not somehow be released right after BlizzCon or something else that is completely crazy, Summer 2019 is great. The Classic community has been ravenous for any news for a long time, and a solid release date will definitely be a balm when the Classic demo ends in a few days. It's a weird feeling actually playing a demo rather than Early-Access disguised as one, but that just shows that Blizzard really seems to be taking this seriously, rather than the infamous "you think you do, but you don't," response that began a meme.
