Lately some people have been receiving emails claiming that they have been invited to the Grand Theft Auto V beta for the later releases on PS4 and Xbox One. If you have received an email inviting you to a GTA V beta: it is a scam and likely a phishing attempt to get your information. Rockstar has dedicated a web page to let people know. It says this:

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO PRE-RELEASE ‘BETA’ TEST FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO V.

IF YOU SEE ADS OR SOLICITATIONS TO JOIN A BETA PROGRAM, BEWARE AS THIS IS LIKELY SOME TYPE OF ONLINE PHISHING SCAM.

As most would be, I would be fairly excited to see an invite to the GTA V beta on the newer consoles. Again, and there is no problem repeating this, any email claiming to be a beta invite for GTA V is a scam and an attempt to steal your personal information.

Grand Theft Auto V is set to hit the newest consoles, Playstation 4 and Xbox One November 18, 2014. So those that may be disappointed that there is no sort of beta for the game should know that it is coming to the newest consoles in less than a month. But those of you waiting for it to hit on PC will have to wait until January 27th, 2015. Hopefully the port will be much better than Grand Theft Auto IV's.
