With the release of Doom Eternal getting closer and it being the 25th anniversary since the release of original Doom this year, Bethesda has been releasing some interesting articles over at the slayers club. One of their latest entries is the start of a series which purports to show you how to get that perfect Doom Slayer physique. The series, Ripped & Tear, seem to cover some background information on which muscles help the Doom Slayer to do all the crazy things he does, as well as consulting a fitness expert and personal trainer called Phillip Durity.

The general format for the articles so far seems to be split into to. Each week an article comes out which actually discusses how different muscles help you to perform certain tasks, such as lifting an arsenal of deadly weapons or climbing walls in a bombed out city. Then a second article is paired with the first which actually details some exercises you can do to improve the muscle which is being focused on in any given week. So far the series has covered the quadriceps femoris (the quads), a group of muscles which power your legs, and the latissimus dorsi (lats), a huge back muscle which is responsible for climbing.

The 'Ripper & Tear' series is a decent attempt at framing personal fitness in a way most gamers would probably be able to get behind. Hopefully, over the course of the next few weeks, more articles will come out to present people with a full-body workout they can use to get as ripped as the Doom Slayer himself and bring new meanings to terms like quad kill.

What do you think about the Ripped & Tear series? Will you be giving any of these exercises a go to get Doom Slayer levels of ripped? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
