Wanted to grab some friends and punch ninjas together? Well good news: Naruto Online will be releasing in one week for you to do exactly that.

Featuring a story based on the long-running and popular anime, Naruto Online will go through the first nine story-arcs of the show. While they will follow the story-arcs, the game will have you playing as an original character that is based on one of five elements: water, fire, lightning, wind, or earth. It appears that there are also plans to continue making more story-arcs as time goes on, so if your current favorite story isn't in the game then you better believe it will be added later. The game will also see the voice actors from the show reprising their roles, a nice bonus for fans.

The game will feature turn-based combat where you will create teams of ninjas to fight enemies. As you fight your characters will form bonds with each other which allows them to team up and use combo attacks. We also believe it will be possible to team up with other players, as the game will offer multiplayer dungeons and huge world bosses for teams. The game promises that you will have plenty of ways to earn XP and earn items, equipment, and costumes for your characters.

Naruto Online Gameplay

Naruto Online is being published by Oasis Games, a Chinese publisher who brought Koi to the United States this year, which made it the first Chinese published game to get a console release. The game's website and press e-mail do not specific a developer, but a bit of searching brings up a forum post on MMORPG.com that believes it is being developed by More Fun Studio with some assistance from CyberConnect2. More Fun Studio appears to be a new studio owned by Tencent, while CyberConnect2 is behind many anime games including the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series. They are also currently supporting Square Enix on Final Fantasy VII Remake.
