Ubisoft's upcoming 'free to play' hack and slash game The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is now available on Steam as part of the Early Access program.

Unfortunately 'free to play' is in quotes for a reason, as you can only gain access if you buy one of the starter packs. On top of this you are just entering the closed beta, and though it's on Steam, you still need to log in through Uplay (so prepare for Inception-esque DRM inside DRM).

The starter packs range in price; they start off not particularly cheap and get super expensive (the cheapest is $19.99 and the most expensive is $99.99). Is this worthwhile? Well, we at TechRaptor have just gained access to the closed beta and will be giving you our opinion on it very soon.

Check back soon to see if this quest really is mighty, and if the loot really is epic.
