Later on today EA will be showing off their plans for the future during their E3 2017 Conference but it seems that leaks can occur even the day of you presentation. As well as official news on the beta for their upcoming title Star Wars Battlefront II there was also a leak of gameplay footage uploaded to YouTube by user Mjolnir.

At the beginning of the gameplay footage, Mjolnir does explain that the footage was taken from him playing at the EA Play event, whether it was accidentally uploaded early or not is in question but the video has since been removed from his channel. The video was reposted to Vid.me and shows off gameplay of Darth Maul, Rey, Boba Fett on the Naboo map Theed. Also shown in the video are a variety of those hero and villain characters abilities.

Via more official channels though EA announced that any fans who have pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront II will be able to play the multiplayer beta early. If that isn’t enough of an enticement though they also stated that players will also be rewarded with an upgraded Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card for Yoda to use. There will also be exclusive content from the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi including exclusive outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey, access to six hero and starfigter epic Star Cards; two for Rey, two for Kylo Ren, and two for Starfighters, and you will also get a new Millennium Falcon from the new movie with new sounds and appearance.

It doesn’t matter what console you pre-order Battlefront II on as these benefits will be available to them all. Star Wars Battlefront II releases on November 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin for PC. EA’s press conference will be happening at 3PM EST on the 10th of June so for more information be sure to watch.

What do you think of the leaked footage? Are you excited to get back into the Star Wars universe? Are you looking forward to the pre-order bonuses, or do you think that’s a bit much?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
