The first DLC for the yet-to-be-released Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has been announced, and boy is this one out of left field. In this DLC, you get to play as a police officer hunting down Jack The Ripper, the prostitute mutilating serial killer from the late 1800's. The story takes place 20 years after the events of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, where you join forces with Inspector Frederick Abberline of Scotland Yard, to hunt down the madman.

This announcement also comes with information about a Season Pass for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, which includes the Jack The Ripper campaign, The Last Maharaja mission pack, which includes ten new missions, An exclusive mission "A Long Night", an extra hour of gameplay in the form of the "Streets of Longdon gameplay pack", two top tier sets of gear, and a permanent XP boost to your character.

You can currently pre-order the standard edition of the game for $59.99, which comes with the pre-order bonus "Darwin And Dickens Conspiracy" mission, or the Gold Edition of the game, which comes with the pre-order mission and the Season Pass for $89.99 on PC, Ps4 and Xbox One from the Ubisoft website, as well as a physical collectors edition for $119.99. You can also order some replica Assassin gear off Amazon here, and here.

Quick Take

Considering some of the trouble Ubisoft has had with game releases lately, announcing a DLC before the game has even come out seems like a bad move. They best hope the game is polished to a fine shine, and have no game breaking bugs. If not, this could very well be the straw that breaks the camels back.

All that said, I am actually looking forward to Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, and more so, the DLC. Its a super creepy looking game, and definitely looks like something that I would be into.
