Today Ubisoft has released the September update post for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, detailing the wave of new content being added to the game. Sadly, it seems the free sidequests have finally reached their end.

The first, and probably biggest, part of the update is the addition of Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, which is a free expansion that aims to teach you Greek history. Launching on September 10th, you'll be wandering around Greece getting history lessons and taking quizzes in a non-violent fashion that lets you just explore. You can read more details on the specifics over here.

Additionally, on September 3rd the final Lost Tale of Greece was added to the game. This side questline is called Sokrates' Trial, and sees the famous philosopher being put on trial for a crime. Its your job to help clear his name and figure out who's accusing him and why. The 12th, and final, chain of new side quests added to the game for free, Sokrates' Trial will give players one last hurrah with probably one of the most entertaining characters in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. It also means Ubisoft has added 70 new, free, side quests to the game, an obscene amount of free content.

There are also a few smaller updates. On September 17th the Myrmidon Character Pack gets added, giving you some new armor, spears, and a mount for your character. The Story Creator mode has also been slightly reworked. The dialogue editor will now warn you when you're reaching a limit, and quests can now begin when you kill a specific target. Ubisoft says later in the month they will also be changing the number of characters you can have talking in a single scene.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is available right now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. All these updates have been, or will be, added for free, and you can buy Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece on uPlay for $19.99 as a standalone expansion.
