After a few weeks of rumors, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection.

As the name implies, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection bundles up Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations as well as all DLC released for the trilogy featuring gaming's favorite Italian (apart from Mario, I guess) all on one disc.

Live Ezio’s complete life story – Play as Ezio, the most celebrated and iconic Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, on his journey from a young man to the most legendary leader of the Assassin Brotherhood, and in his final quest for discovery and revelation through all single-player campaigns and single-player add-on content from the three collected games.

This collection is meant for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will be able to take advantage of the more powerful hardware of the current generation of consoles, in addition to making it available on those consoles. As you can see in the trailer, this amounts to higher graphical fidelity and improved post-processing to make the games feel a little less dated.

This collection also includes 2 short movies. One of them is Assassin's Creed: Lineage which follows Ezio's father during the events leading up to Assassin's Creed II. The second one is set after the events taking place during Revelations and shows the last moments of Ezio's life.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection will be available in North American territories on November 15. Europe will have to wait until November 17 before they can return to a slightly more beautiful version of Italy and Constantinople than we saw it the first time around.

Quick Take

We all saw this one coming, I think. While we won't get a big Assassin's Creed game this year, there is a movie coming out in the not too distant future. This part of the franchise is fondly remembered by many fans of the franchise and it'll definitely bring the franchise back into the limelight before the movie hits theaters.

What do you think of this announcement? Will this be enough to make you want to replay the most famous parts of the franchise? Let us know in the comments below!

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
