Zen Studios have finalized the lineup of four tables for the "Balls of Glory" DLC pack coming to Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball next week. Based around the animated sitcoms owned by Fox, the pack will include tables based on Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, and Archer. Each table has a trailer out featuring the voice samples and crazy virtual pinball nonsense that you'd expect from Zen's output.

Zen Pinball is known for alternate modes that go beyond mere multi-ball, but Archer Pinball seems to take the cake with a first person shooting section that seems very typical of the bumbling agent. The other tables all seem to include references to past episodes and voice work straight from the television shows.

These licenses join Star Wars, Marvel, Portal, South Park, Plants vs. Zombies, Ms. Splosion Man and The Walking Dead in an ever-expanding lineup of pinball conversions. A price has not been finalized for the four pack, but previous four packs have been priced at $10, with individual tables going for $3. The tables will be coming to console and PC versions of the game in the week of October 20th, just in time to be a quick distraction between all the other releases in the fall rush.

Quick Take

I'm very excited to take a look at this pack, as I think each show will make for an interesting spin on pinball. Zen have been hit or miss with their tables, but I do appreciate that they're always trying new things and reaching out to new partners, and it has made for a varied collection of tables over the years. I am quite bummed that they wont be joining Rocket League in offering Back to the Future DLC in honor of the arrival of the future next week, but Archer Pinball is a fine replacement.

Are you excited to play with your glorious balls alongside Sterling, Stan, Bob and Peter? What property would you like to see Zen take to the flippers next? Answer these questions and more in the comments below!
