Corey Gaspur Passed Away

Today, in a short post on their site, Bioware announced that Anthem Lead Gameplay Designer Corey Gaspur passed away recently.

Gaspur had been part of Bioware since 2007 where he began as a gameplay and level designer on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and went on to work in varying degrees on almost every major Bioware title since, excluding Star Wars: The Old Republic and Dragon Age 2.

Recently, he had been demoing Anthem at E3 and asking for feedback on the title. He also posted welcoming back Casey Hudson to Bioware, who he identified as his mentor in the post.

In the wake of the news today, Hudson also posted a bit on twitter about it on his account:

All of our best wishes and condolences go to his family and friends and all those affected by this loss that has come far too soon.
